What is the Highest Recorded %BAC?

According to CBC News Canada, a Bulgarian man holds the record for the highest BAC level ever recorded, and specifically the highest survivable BAC level.

In December 2004, a 67-year-old man in Plovdiv, Bulgaria was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries he suffered following a car accident. The man appeared to be fine and communicated coherently with doctors, yet his BAC was recorded at 0.914%. Assuming the testing equipment was malfunctioning, doctors performed five separate lab tests to confirm the man’s BAC level.
